New white bookshelves pair against darker counters and mantel to increase the contrast in the space. These dark tones are echoed in the new kitchen island’s base cabinetry, balancing what is now an expansive new kitchen with a white island top, counters, and cabinets. New large windows on the living room wall and sitting area really bring the light in, where before an inconvenient back door and smaller windows kept the space rather dark. New wood floors with a medium dark stain anchor and complete the space.
